THE THERMAL DRONE ADVANTAGE
All the scouting, watching cameras, hard work, dedication, and patience paid off. You got the shot. Experience teaches us that the next steps matter as much as all the preparation. They’re all deer stories until you’re slamming the tailgate.
With 30-plus years of bowhunting and tracking experience combined with FLIR technology, I can put the odds of successful recovery in your favor.
-
Together, with your input, we will use area property overlay maps, terrain features, and the sequence of events after the shot to choose the best starting point.
In my 30 years of bowhunting and tracking experience, I’ve come to believe the least intrusive approach yields the highest chance of recovery.
For years I would have been too stubborn to start with a drone - but for all of my “perfect” shots that weren’t so perfect on deer bigger than my best . . . once you bump up a single lunged or gut shot buck, there’s no telling how far that shot of adrenaline can take him. It could be the difference between a deer story and punching your tag.
Thermal imaging gives you a much better chance when a deer has been bumped and stopped bleeding. It allows you to potentially answer those questions that make bowhunters sick to their stomach with an incomplete track without putting more people or dogs in the area.
-
Using all relevant data, we will determine the last known location, and believed direction of travel. The drone can cover in minutes what would take hours, if not an entire day, with an extensive and well-planned grid search.
-
Any heat signature emitted by warmed objects or animals stands out like a sore thumb to FLIR thermal imaging. Combined with a “birds-eye view”, you can’t hide from FLIR.
Long after an animal has expired, its heat signature will remain, if not increase as the animal begins to off-gas in initial decomposition.
Lost blood, no hair, no sign, too many deer running too many directions, too many big tracks - No problem. If it’s a mammal, it puts off heat.
Even on properties with large deer herds, you can very quickly identify different deer. In most cases, it will only take minutes to locate provided it is significantly injured or deceased. If it’s where we’re allowed to look - we’ll find it.
-
1.) Foliage - All thermal drones work better after the leaves fall, regardless of cost or tech.
2.) Water - The heat signature emitted by the game can cool down considerably in water. But doesn’t make it impossible.
3.) Property boundaries and shot placement - sometimes, the reality is, the shot just wasn’t what we hoped. You can’t find what isn’t there.
-
My hope is to provide:
1.) a precise pin on a map of the exact location of your animal.
2.) Pics or short clips locating the animal from above. Zoomed pics of the animal if possble (daylight)
3.) conclusive proof of life, or mortality, or if it’s somewhere it can be legally recovered.

Price for Services
Fee for all travel, time, associated equipment. I will travel roughly 90 minutes/75 miles give or take. Fee includes reasonable flight time to locate, identify the condition of, or thoroughly conclude the animal isn’t within a reasonable or permissible search area.
I accept CASH, venmo, cash-app, and paypal
I offer a $400 flat rate for a successful location paid in cash at the tailage - $25 / 6.25% savings
The goal is a location and pin that lead to a successful harvest. A bonus or gratuity for a successful recovery is customary in tracking and is greatly appreciated.
In the event that an animal is wounded, but not expired - I want to help you see this through to a successful harvest. I’ll definitely work with you on reasonable price to put the drone up again to confirm expiration of the animal.

We are committed to providing the most thorough aerial search possible for your harvest.
If you don’t see or hear the animal expire, or find an arrow or bolt with bright red, bubbly blood, back out and give it time if there’s any doubt about a perfectly executed shot. A mature buck that is jumped up during a track can travel miles - never to be found.
Whether it’s your son or daughter’s first deer, or the buck of a lifetime, put the odds in your favor with a drone right from the start.
Don’t let a lost blood trail, a wounded deer pushed during the track, or a failed dog-track end all hope. Put technology in your corner. Call us today!!!
